Enneagram In Business Train-the-Trainer Program
Based on What Type of Leader Are You? (McGraw-Hill, 2007)
6 Days with Ginger Lapid-Bogda, Ph.D.
Develop excellence in global and local leadership
The Enneagram, an ancient and profound psychological system, is very powerful and easy to use in a variety of business applications – for example, enhancing your communication style, giving effective feedback, responding to conflict constructively, creating high performing teams, developing leadership excellence, and coaching for the highest level of personal excellence.
This intensive program is designed for human resource professionals, organization development and management development consultants, trainers, coaches, and Enneagram professionals who want to learn how to develop leaders by integrating the Enneagram with today’s most crucial leadership competencies. Participants are not required to possess expertise in all the above areas. However, everyone who attends must have a background in at least one of the following: consulting, the Enneagram, training, coaching, human resources, or management.
The Enneagram derives its name from the Greek words ennea (“nine”) and gram (“something written or drawn”) and refers to the nine points, or numbers, on the Enneagram symbol. This unique system offers profound insights into the different ways in which people think, feel, and behave, since the nine different Enneagram styles represent distinct worldviews, with related patterns of thinking, feeling, and taking action. Even more important, each Enneagram style is connected to a precise, high-impact development path.
In this highly experiential program, coaches, consultants, trainers, and human resource professionals will learn about the Enneagram system and how to help their clients accurately identify their Enneagram styles. From this foundation, participants will learn the applications of the Enneagram with the following leadership competencies:
• Drive for Results
• Strive for Self-Mastery
• Know the Business: Think & Act Strategically
• Become an Excellent Communicator
• Lead High-Performing Teams
• Make Optimal Decisions
• Take Charge of Change
In addition, participants will learn how to use paradigm shifts to enable leaders to grow and develop exponentially.
Participants receive a comprehensive Trainers Guide containing multiple activities to use with leadership development, plus over $500 worth of training tools, fabric banners, a CD with original graphics, and participant handouts.
Sample book endorsements from industry leaders:
"No other approach to leadership growth is as accessible, relevant, and powerful as the path-breaking framework provided in What Type of Leader Are You? I have shared this approach with my leadership team, and I’ve observed breakthroughs by dozens of leaders. Ginger Lapid-Bogda’s integration of the Enneagram with the seven critical leadership competencies is brilliant. Her methods enable you to increase self-awareness while also acquiring the concrete tools and emotional energy you need to become the leader you really want to be. I have seen this book change lives – it certainly has changed mine."
– Todd Pierce, Vice President, Corporate Information Technology, Genentech, Inc.
"Ginger's newest book is a practical tool for executives interested in real evolution as leaders. The information in What Type of Leader Are You? is pragmatic and results focused, and it doesn't shortchange the underlying depth of the Enneagram as a tool for transformation. In this book, Ginger offers a unique combination of business savvy, organization development, and in-depth self-development perspectives. Her solid understanding of today’s business environment makes the book a tool that leaders can use repeatedly to enrich and expand their capabilities, turning already effective leaders into truly influential ones."
– Colleen Gentry, Senior Vice President for Executive Development, Wachovia Corporation
"What Type of Leader Are You? creates a crucial bridge between big business and the Enneagram. Ginger's latest book is designed for the true professional: she applies the Enneagram to mainstream business applications through competencies such as Leadership Self-Mastery, Know the Business: Think and Act Strategically, and Make Optimal Business Decisions. Not only do readers learn about their leadership characteristics, but they’re also provided with self-assessment exercises and Enneagram style-specific development recommendations for each competency area. As the managing director of one of the nation’s leading hearing health care manufacturers, I recommend What Type of Leader Are You? and can't wait until Ginger creates training classes for this material. I will be filling her courses with enthusiastic employees."
